Betty's Guide to Vibrating, Squirting, and Anal Dildos

Just like vibrators, dildos can have a myriad of functions so let’s take a look at what’s out there and how they feel

Vibrating Dildos

Each store has their own definition of what is a vibrator and what is a dildo. To us here at Betty’s vibrating dildos are defined as a toy with a typical dildo shape (ie. Penis shaped) but with an added vibration function. We feel it’s important to make the distinction because vibrating dildos typically do not have the same amount of power as a vibrator and usually run on batteries or a bullet inserted in the base.

A good example is the Real Feel Deluxe line of dildos like the Real Feel Deluxe #2. This type of dildo is made to look realistic but it has the added function of a vibrating core that is activated by turning the base.  You can feel the vibration but I would consider it a medium level vibration. Whether I activate it or not depends on my mood.

Squirting Dildos

These are a big seller and you can imagine why. They can add a dimension to your play alone with a partner that can be quite erotic. We carry the Doc Johnson Realistic Squirting Dildos which come with a lube called Nut Butter that is their own specific formulation made to look like semen. There are two major factors you should take into consideration before you buy these dildos.

First, you should be aware that these toys are made from PVC which, although phthalate free, is harder to keep bacteria free. I wouldn’t recommend sharing these toys between partners. Similarly, switching from oral, to vaginal, to anal play is definitely not a good idea. Ideally you should use a condom with PVC toys but since that negates the whole point of this type of dildo, be aware of its limitations.

Secondly, Nut Butter is a lubricant. Ingesting large amounts will lube you all the way through, if you know what I mean. This warning comes from the Doc Johnson website. They say that the amount you would ingest through licking and kissing is fine but more than that is going to have unpleasant side effects. One resourceful reviewer makes his own concoction of flour, yogurt, and water to use instead. I will leave you to google possible recipes.

Anal Dildos

Anal play can be a lot of fun and there are certainly any number of butt plugs and vibrators out there. If you want a more standard dildo, we have some that are slimmer and flared at the base for safer play. Also, silicone is hugely important when you’re doing anything anal because it can be boiled in order to disinfect it.

Uncut Dildos

You don't see uncut dildos (dildos with foreskin) as often, but we're not quite sure why.
Our uncircumcised dildos are designed to look and feel very natural. Usually the foreskin is made of the same material as the dildo which rolls back fully to expose the majority of the head of the dildo, just like the real thing.
